Why speedrun math matters here
Walkthroughs state 'the whole run can be finished in just a few minutes once you know the order.' Beginners run 5-8 minutes; speedrunners target under 2 minutes. The Escape Time Estimator models the gap.
Cube stair trick
Drop one cube near the rope hatch and use it as a step to reach the rope directly without seating all three. Saves approximately 15-25 seconds versus three full carries.
Split cabinet hunt
With two or more players, split the cabinet pool: one player halls, one player side rooms. The Bayesian update in the Cabinet Hunt Optimizer halves expected search time per additional player up to a cap of 3.
Wall-gap keycard
Reach through a wall opening without entering The Locust's path. Eliminates the standoff phase from your run and removes the audio-cue risk entirely.
Door interaction order
Use Wire Cutter first, then Key, then walk the bright corridor. The two [E] Interact prompts are sequential; partial completion does not open the door.
Reset risk management
If The Locust catches you, the Keycard can drop. Recover the card before resetting the run - re-running the entire chain costs more than recovering the card.
